Bonsai - Triple Planting
Bonsai Tree Triple Planting in 15 inch container with a Japanese Juniper, Star Cypress, and Viburnum.
Japanese Juniper (Juniperus Procumbens Nana)
The Japanese Juniper is the most popular tree for Bonsai because of its compact foliage and ability to train branches into popular shapes. The Japanese Juniper produces tiny brown pine cones once a year and also green berries upon maturity. Requiring good indirect sunlight and moist watering conditions, the Japanese Juniper Bonsai is best suited for patios or outdoor areas. The Japanese Juniper is cold-hardy and can withstand temperatures below freezing.
Star Cypress (Cupressus Macrocarpa)
Star Cypress are conifers that produce tiny, scale-like leaves clumped together on cord-like branches. Star Cypress may have dark green, light green, blue-gray, or silvery leaves which spread into a pyramid-shape as they age. The Star Cypress may be propagated from seeds but lend themselves to rather easy propagation by cuttings. Star Cypress are well suited for many types of bonsai training styles. Growing faster than other evergreen bonsai, the Star Cypress needs to be repotted once a year just before spring.
